Wellbeing and Inclusion Football Tournament

The Welcome Project, part of Catalyst, held a Wellbeing and Inclusion Football Tournament in Frimley on Friday 16th June. Victor, one of our volunteers had the vision a year ago to make this event happen, aiming to encourage and promote wellbeing for people experiencing mental health in the community.  The response was fantastic as we had teams from the mental health league, Surrey Police and some professionals playing! There was some great football played by all teams and the winners on the day were the Surrey Police who won the Gold Cup and the Guildford and Waverley Revolutions won the Silver Plate.  It was evident from all the smiles and work rate that everyone enjoyed themselves and it really was a worthwhile event.

We would like to thank all those that supported the event by participating and thank you to those that came along to spectate – we hope you enjoyed your day! And of course a BIG Thank you to Victor and The Welcome Wizards for making the event happen.

We’ve had some great feedback and we hope to be able to run another tournament next year.
